Rapunzel Bio passata crushed tomatoes

The use of passata - crushed tomatoes - is not yet widespread in the Czech Republic. Unlike tomato puree, passata is not thickened during production and thus retains more of the natural flavour and aroma of tomatoes than tomato puree. It can be used instead of tomatoes in sauces and soups if we lack fresh tomatoes at home or if we want to avoid lengthy processing. Passata makes an ideal base for pasta sauces, soups, vegetable mixes, tomato soups and sauces, leche... Our passata has been prepared by gently processing fresh tomatoes that have ripened naturally in the sun until red and have been grown according to the principles of controlled organic farming. The tomatoes ripened in sunny Umbria and were quickly processed after harvesting. The producer of the passata uses only fruit grown on his own organic farm. This means that the tomatoes do not have to be transported remotely after harvesting and the producer has perfect control over the fruit used in production.
