It was only later that its medicinal properties were discovered - it contains curcumin, which fights infections and has antioxidant properties.

Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) grows wild in the forests of Southeast Asia and is one of the main ingredients in many Asian dishes. Turmeric, known as Kasturi Manjal or just Manjal, has been used in Asia for thousands of years. We think it definitely deserves its place in the Organic Human universe.
