Agave syrup is made by pressing the nectar from the agave plant. Agave is the most widespread in Mexico and South America and, in addition to being a delicious natural sweetener, it is also used to make tequila. Our syrup is produced at very low temperatures to preserve the natural properties of the plant as much as possible. Nectar has a low glycemic index and is suitable for diabetics and RAW food enthusiasts. Its consistency is similar to honey, although it is slightly thinner and more liquid. Compared to honey, it has the advantage of being plant-based and therefore suitable for vegans.

How to use it?

Agave syrup can completely replace honey or conventional sugar. Although it has a low glycaemic index, it is 30% sweeter than sugar, so a smaller amount is enough to achieve the same taste. When cooking, it is a good idea to lower the baking and cooking temperature by at least 10°C. The syrup can be used as a topping for pancakes or waffles, for making ice cream and sweet drinks or for baking.
