It is a new generation Low Carb sweetener made by a unique patented method from chicory root. It has an exceptionally high beneficial fiber content and a glycemic index of less than 5. Chicory Original Low Carb contains only 5% carbohydrates, which is 10-15 times less than agave syrup and maple syrup. Chicory Original can be used to sweeten hot and cold drinks, desserts, cookies, biscuits, ice cream, pancakes and yogurt. It can also be used in hot kitchens for baking all types of sweet pastries and cakes.

It contains up to 95% less sugar and 45% fewer calories compared to other natural sweeteners.

It is also suitable for use in low-calorie reduction diets.

The abundance of soluble fibre has a positive effect on satiety.

And there is one more completely unique feature. This product is able to partially replace even cooking fat! So not only does it reduce the calorific value of baked goods by replacing sugar, but it also reduces the energy value of food by replacing cooking fat by up to one hundred percent!

It contains up to 95% less sugar and 45% fewer calories compared to other natural sweeteners (honey, maple syrup, agave syrup,...), so it is very suitable for use in a reduction diet. Meals prepared using chicory original have a significantly lower energy value and, with regular use, there is a natural loss of fat reserves.

The dosage is the same as for honey when sweetening, with 1g replacing approximately 4g of fat in food.
